A nostalgic Banana Cream Pie blending velvety custard, fresh bananas, and a light whipped cream topping in a crisp pie crust.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pre-made pie crust
  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Whipped cream for topping

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar, cornstarch, and salt in a saucepan. Gradually add milk, stirring constantly over medium heat until thickened. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla.
  2. Slice the ripe bananas and layer them in the pre-made pie crust.
  3. Pour the custard mixture over the bananas, ensuring it’s evenly distributed.
  4. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours to set properly.
  5. Whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form and spread it over the pie before serving.

Notes

Use ripe bananas for the best flavor. Chill the pie overnight for enhanced flavor meld. Pair with coffee or dessert wine.
