  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine the fresh blackberries, granulated sugar, and lemon juice in a large bowl. Pour into a greased baking dish.
  3. Create the crumble mixture by whisking together the flour, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Add the softened butter and mix until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Assemble the crisp by sprinkling the crumble mixture evenly over the blackberries.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes, until the top is golden brown and the blackberries are bubbling.
