Delightful combination of fudgy brownies and chewy chocolate chip cookies.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chip cookie dough
  • 1 cup brownie batter
  • 1/2 cup nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Cream together the softened butter, sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  4. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl and blend into the creamed mixture.
  5. Press half of the cookie dough into the bottom of the prepared pan.
  6. Spread the brownie batter evenly on top of the cookie layer.
  7. Drop the remaining cookie dough by spoonfuls on top of the brownie layer.
  8. Sprinkle with nuts if desired.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Allow to cool before cutting into squares.

Notes

Serve warm with ice cream or caramel sauce. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
