A creamy and refreshing treat that’s a healthier alternative to store-bought ice creams, customizable with fresh fruits.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups of plain yogurt
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 cup of fresh fruit (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine the yogurt, sugar, and vanilla extract in a mixing bowl and whisk until smooth.
  2. Incorporate the lemon juice, if using, for added zest.
  3. Fold in your choice of fresh fruit.
  4. Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  5. Transfer the churned yogurt to a container and freeze for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to two weeks. Let sit at room temperature briefly if it hardens too much.
