Delicious lemon bars with a buttery crust and tangy filling, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix together the flour and powdered sugar. Cut in the butter until crumbly.
  3. Press the mixture into a greased 8×8 inch baking pan.
  4. Bake for 15 minutes until golden.
  5. Whisk together the eggs, granulated sugar, lemon juice, lemon zest, and baking powder.
  6. Pour the lemon mixture over the baked crust and spread evenly.
  7. Bake for an additional 20 minutes until the edges set.
  8. Cool completely, dust with powdered sugar, and cut into squares.
