A delightful Peach Cobbler that captures the essence of summer with sweet peaches and a comforting batter.

  • 4 cups sliced peaches (fresh or canned)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced peaches, 1/2 cup sugar, and cinnamon.
  3. Pour this mixture into a greased baking dish.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and the remaining 1/2 cup of sugar.
  5. Gradually add in the milk and melted butter to the dry mixture, stirring until smooth.
  6. Pour the batter gently over the peach mixture in the baking dish.
  7. Place your baking dish in the oven and bake for 30-40 minutes.
  8. When the cobbler is done, let it cool for a few minutes before serving warm.

Notes

Serve warm, ideally with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Can add a splash of bourbon to ice cream for an adult twist.
