  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 can (20 oz) sliced pineapple in juice
  • Maraschino cherries
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C), setting the stage for some magic in your kitchen.
  2. Melt the unsalted butter in a 9×13 inch baking pan in the oven.
  3. Add brown sugar evenly over the melted butter.
  4. Arrange pineapple slices over the brown sugar mixture, placing a Maraschino cherry in the center of each slice.
  5. Combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, salt, baking powder, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract in a mixing bowl and mix until smooth.
  6. Pour the batter over the pineapple and cherries, covering them completely.
